Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Contacts Manager (the "Service"). By signing in or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Contacts Manager is a web tool that connects to your Google account, with your permission, to help you organize your Google Contacts — including labeling, bulk changes, duplicate detection and merging, import/export, and deletion with a recoverable Trash. The Service acts on your contacts only at your direction.

2. Accounts and Google authorization

• You sign in using your Google account. You must grant the contacts permission for the Service to function; if you decline it, no account is created.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account and for all activity that occurs through your authenticated session.
• You may revoke the Service's access at any time from your Google Account permissions.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to violate any law or the rights of others, or to process data you have no right to access;
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure;
• Use the Service in a way that violates Google's terms or the Google API Services User Data Policy;
• Use automated means to abuse the Service beyond normal personal or business use.

4. Your data and responsibility

Your contacts belong to you and remain in your Google account. Edits, merges, and deletions you make through the Service are applied to your Google address book. While the Service provides safeguards such as typed-confirmation deletion and a recoverable Trash, you are responsible for the changes you make. We recommend exporting a backup (CSV or vCard) before large-scale operations. Trash storage may be cleared when the Service restarts and is not a permanent backup.

5. Donations

The Service may display an optional donation button (via Ko-fi). Donations are voluntary, are not required to use any feature, and are generally non-refundable. Payments are processed by Ko-fi under its own terms; we do not receive or store your payment details.

6. Availability

The Service is provided on an "as available" basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time, and it may rely on third-party services (such as Google and our hosting provider) whose availability we do not control.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE AND ITS OPERATOR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, CONTACTS, OR PROFITS, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Service and its operator from any claims or expenses arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and revoke its access at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if required to protect the Service or comply with law.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, unless a mandatory law of your country of residence provides otherwise.
